I went to visit the market with a group of other students, and I ended up spending E-32 on CDs. I was looking for a plug converter, as the one I was using is both ungrounded and rusted to the point of loud pops and sparks. My laptop plug is now a tad scorched, but it is usable, and the cord itself should be replaceable.
I ended up going to the Karstadt shopping center a bit farther away from the apatments, but I succeeded in getting a functional and grounded travel adapter. I also got a spinach-cheese pastry-sandwich, which was rather nice.
In addition to the groceries I got earlier in the day, I spent about E-50 before dinner. As it turned out, one of the other guys had his birthday on the second, so we went out to eat in celebration.
We went to Schuettinger, which is one of our professor's favorite restaurants. I notice that he has very good taste, and every place he brings us has been obliging to vegetarians.
This, for example, is a pasta with veggies in cream sauce. It was very good, and the Schuettinger's dark beer is good, as well.
Here is a picture of some of the brewery, which we could see over the railing behind us.While we were eating, we were serenaded by a guy with an inflatable guitar, which bore the colors and name of Beck's, a boombox of AC/DC music, and a rather Slash-like wig. We suspect that he was doing this as part of his bachelor party festivities, but our German failed to ascertain this.
Unexpectedly, the professor footed the bill, which we did not like, as the birthday boy's money was therefore also paying for it.
Afterwards, some of us took a walk around to get ice cream and generally take a look around. In the process, I found a fascinating sign:

It's Pac-Man!
