I had to do laundry, which is usual for a week, but I thought to take a picture of my clothes as they hung to dry. Hang-drying clothing is somewhat more favorable when one has to pay for the use of electricity using physical coins, rather than having it hide out in the room and board costs.

Our last day of German, the Thursday, was filled mixed feelings of happiness for more free time to tour Bremen, but some regret for having the course end so soon; we still had a full week and a few days until the engineering course was done.
We played a fun game called "Activity" that combines Pictionary, Catch Phrase, and Charades. Our instructor picked out a list of words that she expected us to know, and those words became our targets. While the game got us fairly excited, the most memorable moments were when people had no idea what to do and didn't want to pass.
After the game, we took pictures of our class and of our prof:
Our class, taken using stairs and a self-timer.
Our German instructor, with flowers of our thanks. When we got back, some of us completed homework while others explored the city. However, like Grand Rapids, Bremen has weather that can change without notice.
A sudden downpour in Bremen.
This sudden change in weather sometimes caught us by surprise, such as what happened to this guy:
His front is drenched, as though he jumped in a pool, but his back is dry; he was walking into the wind.
Yet, it was not as bad as it could have been: for a few minutes throughout the afternoon, it hailed. What odd weather.
Also, I used up a bit of food stuffs that were planned for chili but were never completed, as garbanzo and black beans are not carried in Extra, the grocery store we frequent. I improvised a stew of sorts: kidney beans, corn, tomatoes, onions, and celery all made their way into a dish that would feed me for three nights, at least. Unfortunately, I had no spices, so it is not particularly flavorful, but it is easy and filling.
